Service and Civic Engagement

Service and civic engagement is an integral part of Mercer's mission and the student experience both on campus and in the Macon-Bibb community. Service and civic engagement opportunities are based in partnership with local and regional community agencies, to help fosters student learning and leadership by preparing Mercer students to address the critical needs of the Macon community and beyond.
Since Mercer views community service as an integral part of the student experience. Through service and civic engagement experiences, Mercer students have opportunities to serve and become advocates for positive change in literacy and education, health care and wellness, neighborhood revitalization, youth programs, legal advocacy, nonprofit management, disability access, homelessness, elder care, and many other areas of need.
